The Meadowlark Botanical Gardens attract many guests in the spring when they’re in full bloom, but you might be surprised to learn that they draw an equally impressive crowd during the holiday season. That’s all thanks to the infusion of holiday cheer that comes with the arrival of the Winter Walk of Lights at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens.

Now through January 2nd near your apartment in Arlington, the holiday light display is back at the gardens for the 10th year. In keeping with its surroundings, the scenes focus on Mother Nature. In the illuminated butterfly garden, you’ll see winged creatures floating from one glowing bloom to another. Next to the pond, a red-and-green-lit gazebo rises near swans outlined in white lights. Enjoy the holiday displays while you sip on a cup of hot chocolate or nibble on some candy from the concession stand at the Winter Walk of Lights at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens. It’s recommended to purchase your tickets in advance, especially since tickets won’t be sold on site at all during designated “Prime Nights” from December 10th to January 2nd.
