Live Green. Save Green.

The Bainbridge Commitment
At Bainbridge, we take our role as an environmental steward seriously. We are committed to sustainable communities and are continuing to improve the ways we preserve our environment.
What Bainbridge Does

- Utilize power strips that can easily be switched off when the electronics are not in use
- Set your thermostats 2 degrees higher in the summer and 2 degrees cooler in the winter
- Install CFL light bulbs that use 75% less energy and last up to 10 times longer than ordinary bulbs
- Turn off the water when brushing your teeth
- Unplug chargers for cell phones and other personal electronics
The Four R's
- Reduce waste disposal
- Reuse old items. Use plastic grocery bags to line trashcans, donate old clothes/toys/furniture to charity (great tax deduction), and stock up on rechargeable batteries.
- Recycle plastic, aluminum, and paper. Each of our communities has the appropriate recycling containers.
- Re-buy products in recycled containers. Start at the grocery store—it’s easy!
